Achilles International – South Florida
Achilles International – South Florida is an organization whose mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to participate in athletics, promote personal achievement, enhance self-esteem, and lower barriers. Founded in NYC in 1983, the organization serves all ages and abilities in cities around the US and in 70 countries around the world.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum inspires citizens and leaders worldwide to confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity. Located among the national monuments to freedom on the National Mall, the Museum provides a powerful lesson in the fragility of freedom, the myth of progress, and the need for vigilance in preserving democratic values.
SOS Children’s Villages – Florida provides foster children a place of Healing, Hope and Home. SOS Florida first provides our boys and girls with the cornerstone they need to grow into happy, healthy, and successful young adults. The Village – A good place to grow up – where children’s needs are put first, they can build their confidence and learn in a positive, supportive community.
The Delray Beach Public Library is a non-profit organization that serves as an essential community resource offering a wide range of services to meet the various needs of the community. The library brings the library to neighborhood schools and community centers with outreach programs. There are many programs offered by the library for both children and adults. Most notably is the Empowerment Zone, which provides assistance in resume writing, job searching, and public assistance programs.
